Objective

The objective to this training module is to give an overview of the BS (British Standard) EN ISO (International Standards Organisation) 8501-1 which is titled "Preparation of steel (Strong malleable low carbon iron alloy) substrates before application of paints and related products - Visual assessment of surface cleanliness - Part 1: Rust (A reddish / brown oxide coating formed on iron or steel (Strong malleable low carbon iron alloy)) grades and preparation grades of uncoated substrates after overall removal of previous coatings (Paint - substance used for protection of surfaces ie steel (Strong malleable low carbon iron alloy) from corrosion.)"
